Why do my corn snake eggs have dents?

Because a snake egg is not waterproof like a chicken egg, so the volume inside can fluctuate with humidity. Humidity was also the best Answer to this question in 2007. If you maintain perfect humidity, the snake egg will not dent until shortly before it hatches, when the shift ib weight of the embryo will cause denting. the truth is, most eggs will hatch with less than perfect humidity as long as it's close so some people don't bother to keep it at 975-85%..
